• Jurassic World's CGI PROBLEMS Revealed! Why 1993 Jurassic Park Old Effects are MORE REALISTIC

Jurassic World's CGI Problem: Jurassic World was a lot of fun, but the Jurassic World CGI was a little bit of a let down. Jurassic Park CGI is praised though. While the CGI Indominus Rex looked good, the CGI Raptors and other Dinosaur CGI in Jurassic World, kind of pulled some audience members out of the movie. Jurassic Park CGI didn't have this problem. Jurassic World's CGI isn't bad, but it's indicative of the state of modern CGI. Ever wonder why old CGI or old effects look better? Newer CGI is used differently than old CGI so this video explains why sometimes New CGI seems worse than Old CGI. Sergio Iglesias writes: Hello, Collider Movie Talk, I love the show, watch it everyday from Spain. My email is more a recommendation than a question. I often had a discussion with my friends about CGI vs practical effects, specially after watching Mad Max Fury Road. I usually defend CGI and I think people tend to use only examples of bad CGI and forget when it is good. I think you guys have talked about that a few times. We have compiled a list of some scenes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that showcase just where their budget has gone. Let’s take the de-aging of Robert Downey Jr. in Captain America: Civil War. How incredibly realistic does young RDJ look? This complex scene took loads of hours and money to make but boy did it pay off. Speaking of transformations, how about the skinny Steve Rogers in Captain America: the First Avenger? It almost looked like Chris Evans went through an extreme transformation for the role, but really it was just fantastic special effects. How about the catastrophic and epic fight between the Hulk and Iron Man in Avengers: Age of Ultron? Buildings were being demolished and it all looked so incredibly realistic. This is an excellent video I found on youtube about all this. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for your work, you guys are awesome. Watch this absolutely beautiful and Award-Winning CGI animated short film by talented animation filmmaker and composer, Evan Viera! For more information about this film please visit the links below: SYNOPSIS Through the eyes of a young girl suffering from mental illness, CALDERA glimpses into a world of psychosis and explores a world of ambiguous reality and the nature of life and death. DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT CALDERA is inspired by my father's struggle with schizoaffective disorder. In states of delusion, my father has danced on the rings of Saturn, spoken with angels, and fled from his demons. He has lived both a fantastical and haunting life, but one that's invisible to the most of us. In our differing understanding of reality, we blindly mandate his medication, assimilate him to our marginalizing culture, and entirely misinterpret him for all he is worth. CALDERA aims to not only venerate my father, but all brilliant minds forged in the haunted depths of psychosis. ∆ ∆ ∆ DOWNLOAD THE SOUNDTRACK - https://orchidtheatre.bandcamp.com/ http://evanviera.com - - https://twitter.com/_evanviera instagram.com/evanviera - - http://facebook.com/evanvieraanimation AWARDS Prix Ars Electronica Award of Distinction Award of Innovation - Seattle International Film Festival Best Animated Film - Rome Independent Film Festival Best Animated Film - Rockport Film Festival Best Short - View Social Awards Nominated for "Best Picture" - Maverick Movie Awards Nominated for "Best Director" - Maverick Movie Awards HISTORY CALDERA was helmed by Evan Viera (Director/Composer/Co-Writer) and Chris Bishop (Co-writer/Animation Supervisor/Story Artist) and was produced at Hampshire College. CALDERA was the first film to go through the Bit Films Incubator Program, where founder and professor Chris Perry (co-producer/editor) invites orphaned independent films to be made on campus with the College's students and resources. "A return to practical effects" is a phrase I've heard numerous times in the lead up to The Force Awakens. I wanted to show that the prequels were not all CGI. Hundreds of miniatures, sets and props were made just for one of the prequels alone. One Prequel had more practical effects than all three of the original trilogy. Here's a collection of photos just showing some of the practical effects used in the prequels. For all the latest on Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and John Williams visit www.thebeardedtrio.com

Well prepare to have all of your questions answered with this behind the scenes look. Someone get Emma Watson an Oscar because she literally filmed some of those scenes by herself. Emma Watson is no stranger to working with CGI after her Harry Potter days so she was more than prepared to take on the challenge once again in Beauty and the Beast. The DVD for the film which comes out June 6th will gift viewers with several featurettes giving you a behind the scenes look at just how they pulled off those GCI scenes. One clip in particular of Emma acting with the beast during the iconic ballroom scene has the internet going wild. In order to give Emma an accurate height depiction of the beast to act with, Dan Stevens had to wear his motion capture suit that made him look like a grey marshmallow. How Emma kept a straight face? The world may never know. Check it out. And if you think Emma having to keep a straight face was the toughest part, think again! The film’s director, Bill Condon says that “Be Our Guest” was actually the most challenging scene to film because literally the entire scene consisted of CGI with the exception of Emma. You can check out even more behind the scenes looks when the DVD comes out on June 6th in addition to 10 minutes of deleted scenes and the Beauty and The Beast music video starring Ariana Grande with John Legend. What do you guys think about the Beast in that CGI suit? He’s a stud right? Let me know in the comment section below and don’t forget to subscribe to Clevver News. top 10 worst special effects in famous films Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: david.f@valnetinc.com Other Videos You Might Like Description: In modern Hollywood, the once-iconic “blockbuster” label has grown to be something of a bad word. Sure, it might still catch the intrigued ear of a movie buff drawn in by the allure of a big budget spectacle. But more often it has come to signal brainless popcorn fare featuring poorly developed characters, clichéd and familiar tropes and a de-emphasis on plot in favor of explosions, special effects and other visually stimulating fluff. In other words, think Michael Bay. But despite a cinephile culture that looks down upon these larger than life romps, there is no denying a broad appeal and lucrative value that have seen titles like “Captain America: Civil War” and even the widely reviled “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” rank among the highest-grossing films to be released so far this year. That level of success can be chalked up to a number of factors, nearly all of which are tied to the use of that big budget. By throwing buckets of money into the production of a movie, you can reel in A-list actors, piggyback on major film franchises and invest all sorts of resources into the promotion and hype of the blockbuster. However, the most eye-catching elements of many supersized contemporary movies are often produced not on an exotic, expansive movie set, but in a small digital arts studio office. Computer-generated imagery, more popularly known by its CGI acronym, has enabled films to capture just about every piece of science fiction and fantasy available to the human imagination. It has taken film-goers through the time from the Jurassic Park-driven age of dinosaurs all the way up to numerous takes on the look of our distant, as-of-yet-unseen future. Even stories once believed to be unfilmable, such as Where the Wild Things Are, Cloud Atlas and Life of Pi, have arrived on the big screen thanks to CGI. In the hands of the proper graphic artists and technologically savvy talents, CGI can transport the viewer seamlessly into a believable yet spell-binding world unlike our own. But placed into wrong and inadequate hands, the viewer can be taken right out of a moment they would otherwise be invested in, glimpsing behind the curtain of the film production and being forced instead to become aware of the shoddy work that has taken place behind the camera. While one might think that money, pressure and a thorough editing process might be enough to prevent any instances of poor CGI making it to the big screen, the history of blockbuster movies would suggest otherwise. It seems like an entitled and unappreciative complaint to bemoan the poor computer graphics inherent in a handful of movies. After all, CGI has given us such iconic Hollywood figures as E.T. and the shark from Jaws, not to mention allowing DreamWorks to bring life to some of the greatest kid’s films ever made. But those successes only serve to further increase the lofty expectations placed upon CGI-heavy blockbusters. If we know what incredible visuals can be achieved through well done computer graphic imaging and we also understand the eye-popping riches invested by studios in so many big budget projects, then why wouldn’t we expect only the best that the technology has to offer? That’s why these 10 examples of CGI done wrong in film stand out as examples of doing so little with so much opportunity.
